You are right that using a passive registry for all-cause mortality analyses is pointless. However, all-cause mortality is probably the best tool for identifying a deadly drug or another intervention administered on a large scale, when all of the other solid sources of evidence are controlled by corrupt researchers, governments, and corporations. Denis Rancourt and Edward Dowd, among many others, have examined all-cause mortality productively. Analyses of all-cause mortality have their own limitations, of course.
Has there been any drug which has been pulled off the market based on all-cause mortality? If yes, did they publish a report with actual numbers? If both of these are true, I would like to see a link to this report.

That's why I specified the conditions for its usefulness: an intervention that can cause death, very wide administration (majority of the population), and corrupt researchers, governments, and corporations that don't do the appropriate studies or don't make their data/results public. All three of these conditions apply with Covid. Covid has been about politics, not health or science, from the beginning.
The regulatory situation for the Covid jabs seems to be unprecedented. The drug approval process was never excellent, but it did keep most of the obviously dangerous drugs from entering the market. If prior practices had been followed for the Covid jabs, they never would have proceeded even to Phase I trials in humans. No manufacturer would have wanted to waste money on them. They are not typical pharmaceuticals. They are bioweapons.
